Final Game

Our game starts at 9.00 on Saturday, so the girls will need to be at the courts at 8.30.

The final game, and the Prizegiving Ceremony will now be held on Saturday 28 August.  If there is light rain, the games will still be held.

Junior Netball has been cancelled

We will still have our fish and chip lunch on Monday.  Have a happy weekend everyone, and good luck to Sarah-Mae with her swimming!

No practice this afternoon

Practice will be on Wednesday at lunchtime this week.

Our game is at 10.30 vs Kawerau Central Clubs

Only 3 games to go :(

The season has gone by really quickly.  The girls have come a long way in just one season.  After the grading games we were placed into the B Grade.  This is where we played during the seeding rounds.  It was a hard grade for us to play in, and we faced some challenging opposition.  Based on the results of the seeding games, we will playing the remainder of the season, the championship rounds, in the C Grade.  Our first 2 games resulted in wins, which was pleasing for the team.

The final game for the season (weather permitting) will be 14 August.  The Junior Netball Assosication will be running the prizegiving after the last junior game.  If it is fine, this will be done at the courts.  If the weather turns nasty, the prizegiving will be relocated to the War Memorial Hall.

As a celebration of the end of a wonderful netball season, there will be a ‘gathering’ at the Awakeri Hot Pools for an evening BYO BBQ on 14 August at around 4.00.

We have been impressed by the committment shown by the girls, and have appreciated the support shown by the parents.  Thanks to all, and we shall see you on Saturday, bright and early… again

Welcome back!

I hear that we had a good win on the last Saturday of Term?  Must have been the great coach and manager we had on the day!  Thanks Keld and Paula!

The last game was the first of the championship rounds.  During the seeding round we were playing in the B grade.  We will be playing in the C grade for the championship rounds.  There are 4 more games to go until the season comes to an end.  This weeks game is a 8.30 against Otakiri on Court 9.

The coaching session held this afternoon was a great learning opportunity for those who were able to attend, as we had MJ Araroa (Netball BOP) taking the girls.

Tomorrow

Sincerest apologies to you all!  I thought that I had posted the details of the game for tomorrow, but it seems that it did not work.

The game is at 8.30 on Court 6 against St Josephs Koru.

The coaching clinic scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed.  It will now be next week, on the 26th.

Queens Birthday Weekend

There is no netball this long weekend.  There will, however, be a game on the first Saturday of the school holidays to make up for the Saturday which was cancelled due to rain.

Practice Cancelled

This afternoons practice is definately cancelled.  We hope to get a lunchtime practice in later in the week at school.
